I love to teach in the age of alternate facts.
Half the kids are texting. The other half — surfing the web.
Melissa’s eating lunch. Daisy’s sleeping. Chad has a hangover.
The class clown walks in.
He’s like, “Hey, Dude.”
So I say: “Pop quiz!” Everything stops.
I say: Translate: Di mame shept nakhes.
Melissa guesses: Mama sheep eats nachos.
I say: A shnorrer hot chutzpah!
Daisy: Snoring is a hoot.
I say: Er iz a putz un a pisher.
Chad tries: He has a pot and a pitcher.
Such creativity!
